I love it. Bring it on.
Microsoft attitude is bordering that of Ford Motor in 1920. You can have any
color you want as long as it is black.
But! It seemed that other people had other ideas and Ford's dominance of the
motor car slipped into oblivion as these people formed General Motors.
The next chapter in the sags was that Ford almost went bankrupted in the '30s.
So lets see now: high prices, domination of what you may look at, social
control of viewing, collaboration with entertainment companies, and the list
goes on. The only two reasons that people put up with this is technical
ignorance and the lack of a viable alternative. I know most of you think
Linux is the greatest. It is for the technical savvy and you would not be on
this list if you were not technical savvy but what about the poor technical
illiterate which is what MS users are.
Oh, back to the Ford motor company saga. The switch from number one total
dominance to irrelevance happened almost over night as General Motors brought
out a different line of cars.
