Thanks R.P., that got me a bit closer. Installed rpm-build,
and ran

rpm -bb XFree86.spec

om the /usr/src/redhat/SPECS folder... Got a few failed
dependencies... I was able to get the proper rpm's for all
but one, which is what I am getting now:

error: failed build dependencies:
       /lib/libpam.so is needed by XFree86-4.0.3-21

There is a /lib/libpam.so.0, which is a link to
/lib/libpam.so.0.74. So, I tried making a symbolic link to
the libpam.so.0.74, and named the link libpam.so , but I get
the same error. I also installed the pam-devel...

Or I thought I did... just did a rpm-q pam-devel, and it
ain't there. So, I installed pam-devel, and a libpam.so
magically appears :) The rpm-bb is now running. I think I'll
take a nap. Thanks again!!!

Doug
