[SLUG] New Mouse Instalation

This system currently has a very nice 3 button PS2 mouse on it.
I would like to replace it with a very much nicer 4 button - 3 on top and an
inter button on the side serial mouse.

The problem is if I replace the mouse before I change the settings then I do
not have mouse control in X to change the settings.

Does anyone know of a way to do this with out running install again?
