I'm thinking my problem with SAMBA is with the network connectivity. I don't
have a Windows NT server on the this network. SAMBA is/should be acting as one.
When I look at my log.nmbd it looks like SAMBA is using my ip address for the
server as the subnet. But for the live of me I can't figure out to tell SAMBA
to use submnet 255.255.0 0. Here's the log entry I'm referring to.
  Samba server CPT is now a domain master browser for workgroup MYGROUP on
subnet 192.168.0.5

  *****
[2001/08/20 09:02:00, 3] nmbd/nmbd_namelistdb.c:add_name_to_subnet(243)
  add_name_to_subnet: Added netbios name MYGROUP<1b> with first IP 192.168.0.5
ttl=0 nb_flags= 0 to subnet UNICAST_SUBNET
[2001/08/20 09:02:20, 3] nmbd/nmbd_serverlistdb.c:write_browse_list(458)
  write_browse_list: Wrote browse list into file /var/cache/samba/browse.dat
[2001/08/20 09:03:00, 3] nmbd/nmbd_sendannounce.c:send_host_announcement(217)
  send_host_announcement: type 89a03 for host CPT on subnet 192.168.0.5 for
workgroup MYGROUP
[mchester@cpt mchester]$ echo $UNICAST_SUBNET

Thanks
Mike M
