I cannot speak to the Linksys. But I am pleasantly delighted by my SMC
Barricade which combines my Broadband firewall, 4 port switch and print
server in one. I paid $67 after rebate for it.

Subject: [SLUG] print servers
Date: Mon, 20 Aug 2001 09:52:40 -0400

Hello Sluggers

I was surfing around over the weekend and found Linksys EFSP42 -
EtherFast Switched 2-Port Print Server that looks good. I have a small
home network with both SuSe 7.1 machines and Win98 (my work laptop) and
Win2K (wife's work laptop). I was wondering if anyone has had any
experience with this particular print server or any others that will
support both Linux and Win OS's. This particular print server requires
IPX protocol which I don't know anything about, other than it is
available on the Win machines. I also found a Netgear server that
states that it supports *nix (PS110). Ideas?

TIA
