SQL-Ledger gets good reviews, although I find it weird that it's all
web-based and written in PHP. I haven't taken a look at it, although I
should to see if we can use it in our company and replace *our*
quickbooks which is a serious PIA...

I doubt it will import quickbooks files though.

(Aside: howcome I've never seen an accounting software that was worth
crap? Are good programming skills and having an understanding of money
mutually exclusive? If so, why can no company just get someone who's
good at money *tell* someone who's good at programming how to write the
program?)
