I am a long-time EFF member and booster. This is a particularly good
day/time to join, because today is the day of the first hearing in EFF's
first direct attempt to overturn the DMCA. Michael Sims is there to
report on it for Slashdot (he lives closest to the Trenton NJ federal
court where it's taking place), so watch Slashdot for an exclusive
report on the goings-on, possibly early this evening.
Jim Tyre, the EFF lead outside counsel on the case, is an old, old
friend of mine and a great guy in general.
Please suppport EFF. It's the only organization actively fighting for
"the little guy" online against a whole bunch of corporate greedheads.
