Im in Clearwater and have static---have had for the entire time with GTE
(verizon) they now have 2 diff cable modems for new installs one with static
and one dhcp---you can request static at no charge. Their price is comp to RR
(40 bucks a month) and I have had zero major probs with them. If you can get
GTE thats the way to fly for static--and my 2 cents worth!!
