[SLUG] Logging telnet access

Hello all.

We are working on a 3rd party software package that makes telnet connections
from a database. We are having a problem because we cannot see what the app
is sending to the server and it is failing to log in.

Is there a way to log what a specific user types for login id and password?
We need to see what this automated app is sending because it fails to log in.
