RE: [SLUG] Copy of Staroffice 6.0 beta

Once I changed the permissions (as I should have from the
get go...) the files would try to open, but looked like
a dog with fleas with the number or CRC and other errors
that popped up. All 3 of them had the blasted things. I
assume that the errors were due to lost data in the trans-
fer.

Sure hope Sun gets it out soon. Ver 5 is such a mess with
that awful desk top, seems to make it slow as molasses to.

Thank you, Mike ... I just now read this and could not remember what
I had to do to get them to run. I wonder if I have the installation
file around here somewhere. I'll try to take a peek at that over the
weekend.

Yesterday I had a disturbing call from a survey firm that didn't
bother to disclose that it was working for MSFT until I asked them
directly. In the interests of my own legal behind, I will be pulling
those files Sunday. I was thinking of leaving them up until Sun
released the commercial version ... I think they are a great sales
tool for SO6 ... but now I dasn't dare.
