I should have prominently announced this on the SLUG list beforehand,
but Wayne Witt gave a presentation tonight on an Open Source project
he's starting. He's got specs but no code yet. It's a server-based
backup system that's supposed to be cross-platform (that is, Windows,
Mac, Unix/Linux) and nominally written in Java. Being dissatisfied with
what's out there in this area, he's decided to scratch his own itch. If
you're interested in scratching the same itch, or you're bored, you can
