Steve

Sometimes the ISP expects you to type in the gateway address, enable
DNS and type in the Host. Check the paperwork her ISP provided, chances
are it it listed there or you could just call or e-mail the ISP.

Good Luck

Fred

Subject: [SLUG] Verizon Cable Question

Hi there,

I've got a friend who's computer crashed (win98) so I got her a nice new
drive and installed SuSE as a second OS.

The machine was built at my place where I use RoadRunner. She has Americast
with Verizon.

DHCP worked fine at my place but not at all at her place. I tried a few
things but got no response from the servers. So I'm sure someone says Oh
yes,
this is what you need to do with americast...

Please let me know!

Thanks,

Steve
