before I switched to 8.0 I did an update to KDE3.0 on 7.3
and all I did was to dl all the KDE3 rpms from the suse
site---I mean all,including experimental--and put them in a
folder. I fired up yast1, selected them all, and set it to
install them---worked fine. I had a few probs with some
apps but very few of them, and the fixes for those were
easy. Im pretty sure there is even a how-to on the SuSe
website. Thats about the help I can offer--I dont remember
the specifics---sorry
