With SuSE, no user other than the one logged on, has access to the X
session, not even root. To alleviate this, you need to do the following:

[gnorb@geex gnorb]$ xhost + localhost
localhost added to control list
[gnorb@geex gnorb]$ su
password:
[root@geex /home/gnorb]# ./netscape-installer
