Sure you could eaisly do that from the command line, but without encoding
the data it wouldn't be reliable and would almost surely be rendered useless.
i.e.
vi (or emacs if you so choose) up a Subject line nd a brief message then do
this.
mail sendme@baddata.com < fileyoumade << nonasciifile
but it would be a really bad idea....
