Thanks everyone for the suggestions. It turned out to be a problem with the
hosts file on the web server.

An additional entry had to be made that wasn't needed before. I don't have the
details since I no longer work in that dept. (Yeah!!!!!!!) and I don't think
the guy now in charge knows why it was needed.
