[SLUG] Problem when deleting /proc/kcore

Hi. I am using IceWM as Linux windows manager, but sometimes a file
called /proc/kcore is created
and it grows pretty fat. When trying to delete it ,the systems says
that I can not unlink it because the
operation is not permitted.

Does somebody know how this file is being created and what is its use?
I'd like to get rid of the file without having to kill my X session.
