If any of you are using Star Office 6.0 could you take a look at the printer
configuration object and see if it includes a driver for the Xerox 265
printer?
A couple other questions WRT to 6.0 vs. 5.2:
* Is it your impression that 6.0 does a better job of
importing/displaying Power Point files than 5.2? I opened a Power Point file
in 5.2 and while it could be read and photos were fine it wasn't something
I'd put in front of a client/prospective client. Text spacing was off, had
some undesired superimposition of logos on one another and slide framing
wasn't quite right.
* Does 6.0 do a better job of displaying forms generated in Excel than
5.2? We have some stock forms (Purchase Order, Vacation Request and such)
that have a moderated amount of formatting, like boxes, lines to fill in,
boxes to check and so on. I've opened a few in SO 5.2 and they are mostly
correct but a "yes/no" check box might be absent or shading around a box
might not be so good.
I hope to hear that Sun has improved SO's handling of these sorts of items.
