I have been trying to compile my own kernel on my RH 7.2 box. First it
is nearly impossible to access the RH ftp site since it is so slow it
nearly stops. Second, I don't know what to look for. There are
.src.rpm files and Source.rpm files and boot.rpm files and more. What
do all these mean? I want a binary tar ball "I think" that will work
with a Redhat front end.
Help, thus far all I have is a very confused mind. I think I have read
too much to make sense of it all.
