For what it is worth...I got 8.0 dual booted with my 98 game machine.
Athlon XP 2000 ( got a 2200 but haven't had time to replace...now I may not)
Soyo KT333 Dragon Platinum
512 mb DDR
Geforce 4 4400
Creative Labs Audigy Platinum
Just installed it...no problems...took everything...even detected
firewire...haven't had time to see what else...
The next install is on
Asus A7V333
Athlon XP2200 ( the chip that was suppose to go into the one above)
512 mb
geforce 2 ( gonna upgrade to a 4400 above and replace with 4600 ...price
have dropped)
onboard sound ( we'll see..may upgrade to a audigy)
this will be another game machine ( dual 98) ...but I am planning on testing
WineX and seeing how the games work on it...
anyone had any luck with games?
