I think the original cost was in the range of $600-700...I bought everything
and TCWO in Tampa.....but I went overboard on the motherboard,case and
harddrive...I could have save alot on the motherboard...I ended up getting a
HUGE Black Antec case...(they are nice to work on) and 120 gig drive...
I was originally going to use the onboard sound but turns out is was have
huge effects on Battlefield 1942... made it laggy...so I added the Audigy
(runs great now!!!) ..which was another $170.....I also already had the
Geforce 4 4400...($300 when I bought it) now the 4600 you can find for
$250..so total price is roughly in the $1100 ish range..

of course I built it myself.

Why won't WineX help? They just got WarCraft 3 and EverCrack working on
it....I know they got Halflife working on it.
