interesting -- The is mentioned in thr release notes which you
can mount and read off the CD or from an archive. I think it
asks that you bugzila your hardware configuration, so it can
be addressed next release.
One quick fallback would be to make a boot.img boot floppy,
start booting from it, and once it has started, insert CD 1 and
install that way
Another is to mount the ISO images on another box in your lan,
and install by anon FTP -- sounds hard, but is really
trivially easy --
helper script to mount the images properly and automatically
at:
ftp://ftp.owlriver.com/pub/local/ORC/k12ltsp/ called
File: install-from-iso.sh
Turns out to be a FASTER install by FTP than spinning a CD up
and down during an install.
NFS installs work similarly --
Each require the bootnet.img floppy instead.
