Hi all,
Because I'm not ready to buy every new distro and I would
like to try a couple of diff ones, if anyone has either
Libranet 2.7 or the new Xandros I would like to try it and
will offer my SuSE 8.1 PRO. I was thinking maybe we could
swap them for a week or so--- or maybe just burn cds and
trade them? Open to suggestions. I would just like to "try
before I buy" I have downloaded Mandrake 9 and don't like
it enough to buy it. I have Libranet 2.0 and they are
offering a previous buyer discount on the 2.7 but it would
still cost over 40 bucks plus shipping,so again I want to
give it a ride before I shell over the bucks. Unfortunately
there is no way to do this other than what I suggested -- I
don't think --- but I am open to suggestions.
I'm just tired of buying all the diff distros just to find
out I don't care for them. I do like SuSe and have been
using it for awhile but I still like to "experiment" and if
I find one that I really like I am not opposed to changing.
Maybe we ought to start a "library" and we could just try
out diff distros by swapping or copying them?
Just tossing out the first thing that leaps to mind but
since I am not in the league with the Getty's and
gates(intentional lower case) types I really can't afford
to buy the diff ones just to test them out. I am not
opposed to buying any I like and do -- but its getting
expensive to buy distros just to see if I like them or not
( Salvation Army no longer accepts computer related stuff
for donation---even software so no more tax write offs on
the ones I don't like). Anyway anybody interested? any
suggestions? If there is anyone that would like to do
something along these lines and doesn't want to take up the
list space just contact me offlist
