The "Which distro is best" question is far from being decided. In
America, the most popular distro is Red Hat (probably followed by
Mandrake?) In Europe, the most popular distro is SuSE (with a decent
following in America). In Asia, the most popular distro is Turbo Linux.
For beginners, I think that any of the major distros would be pretty
good: Red Hat, Mandrake, or SuSE.
