I appreciate this information. I'll keep it handy. Debian takes care of the
multiple DHCP daemons...I had pump installed (knowing it was a temporary
fix), and when I installed dhcpcd (via apt-get), it removed pump, etherconf,
and a couple of other packages, too. I love low maintainance! (In a related
note: I'm glad to see that Debian is finally working on easy installation.)
