Well, since I'm not an expert...but do you know how to set up a serial console
(I don't)? Can you do this with your laptop? Second, failing that (or not),
you can check your logs. I'm not totally sure, but /var/log/kern.log or dmesg
or something that looks interesting in /var/log should be what you want. Part
of the problem with panics is that everything stops working, so no disk
writing occurs. OTOH, if it's oopsing you might be able to capture to a file
your panic info...at the worst, you can handwrite what's on your screen...
