You're asking what OS to use on a Linux User Group mailing list? That
makes me LOL <grin>.

Well, I'd use Debian with Dillo, and some small word processor...

There is a spreadsheet called siag, and there is some tiny word
processor that is related to it.

Dillo is a really small and fast web browser. No javascript, no flash,
but it supports CSS and HTML4/XHTML.

For email... I'm not familar with GNU/Linux GUI email apps
I only use mutt -- which I doubt normal people would like to use --
perhaps web-based email would work?

Though, I don't know if it would run very well on a 50mHz box with 16mb
of RAM...
