There is no such wire that would cause that - but you may want to go
into your BIOS and check the order of your boot devices.

Hi... What would cause a CD-ROM drive to stop booting from a bootable
cd?

Is there like a little wire, that connects to the CD-ROM drive that
makes it bootable? I ask because I may have disconnected such a wire...

Bah, now I'll have to find a floppy to 'force' it. :(
