Thanks for all of the replies. I ended up removing the version I was
trying to load and got a, mostly, newer version.

I loaded:

1) MySQL-3.23.56-1.i386.rpm
2) MySQL-client-3.23.56-1.i386.rpm
3) unixODBC-2.2.0-5.i386.rpm
4) MySQL-shared-3.23.56-1.i386.rpm
5) MyODBC-2.50.39-4.i386.rpm

This seems to work.

Now I'm going to try to use OO.o as a front end to MySQL and see if I
can open an M$ Access file.
