Hmmmm. But SCO does have a valid point, I see. It's unfortunate that
SCO is suing lowly IBM instead of the individual linux coders/users who
are the real source of the problem, according to SCO. To express our
collective guilt and to placate SCO, let's rename Gentoo Linux to "SCO
Linux", set up a web service that debits our credit card 23 cents each
time we log in to our workstations and 46 cents for servers (I think
this is the model that Red is wishing to emulate also in the near
future, so it's nice to see unity and standards being implemented in the
linux world). Moreover, from now on, Tux must sit in an SCO-logo pine
tree at all photo opportunities and eat small SCO-logo-emblazened pine
nuts in real-time making smacking sounds which say "SCO" when played
backwards. Since SCO was so timely in its lawsuit (instead of waiting,
say, another 10 years to realize linux existed), linux users owe a
retroactive penalty of 23 cents for each prior login. Please advise me
on other guilt-ameliorating remedies the linux community may be able to
offer. Thank you!
