I did something similar to that. Quit Opera, "mv ~/.opera ~/.opera.old",
run Opera, approve EULA, quit Opera, "mv ~/.opera.old/opera6.adr* ~/.opera",
run Opera, fix preferences.

The only problem I have (well, the only one that bugs me enough right now)
is that the on-screen fonts for menus, labels, the address, that sort of
thing, are very small. Apparently Opera is mis-estimating how big an
8-point font should be.

There's an entry Preferences -> General -> Look -> Fonts -> Normal text,
and I fixed that, but I swear that used to be an A-B switch with the other
setting being "use system default font" (which made me wonder, what was
the "system" in question?).

Oh well.
