generally ironic tone.

Note also the "communist" references, and the fact that the article
starts by comparing the SCO silliness with the Scopes "monkey trial" in
1925, which was also a court case put together primarily with publicity
in mind -- byboth sides.

SCO's statements have gotten so out of hand that it is now impossible
for a sane reporter to write a "straight" story about them.
