I don't live in clearwater (I'm in valrico) but I like verison DSL. I've never
had any trouble with service so I've never had to call tech support, but it
works just fine with linux just plug it in and go. The modem will come with some
windows software (a really crappy verizon control panel for checking your
verizon.net account) but it's not necessary even if you are running windows.
Also they have no problem with you openly running a home network (technically
speaking I don't think you are allowed to do that on RR, although everybody
does). I don't know if this will help but it's 12:30 am and I have nothing else
to do.
