yes? If so, the disk should be of type 'vfat' (filenames longer than 8.3
supported), with all files and directories owned by user 'knoppix', group
'knoppix'. Try setting uid=<you>, gid=users (some distributions use
'users', and some make a group for each user. If you don't know which
Debian does, either [a] try it both ways; or [b] "ls -ld ~", and after
your username is your group.) and remounting it. Or try writing to it as
root.
