Could it be? Another Linux gamer in the area? I've been throwing around
the idea of a linux-friendly lan party in the area. I have some spare
networking equipment leftover from my last job in Melbourne. It might be
difficult to fit 20+ people into my place though.

Also, I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but switchdesk
works pretty nicely for changing your desktop environment on the fly.
