Well, if you just want a linux<->linux(or anything else with x11) remote
control, I'd consider just using ssh with x11 forwarding.
If you want something to take control of an existing desktop, I'd
recommend tightvnc( http://www.tightvnc.com/ ) or sshvnc(
http://3sp.com/products/sshtools/sshvnc/sshvnc.php ).
