Haha, just thought of this: How about this one?

Get a linux machine in there. Ssh into it, then run netop (multi platform
remote control) into the windows machine! Of course you would actually need
to establish a vpn using ssh and use remote X to see the netop GUI. But you
could use your Linux machine to run a remote windows session.

I ssh into my office and then into a linux box next to our phone. Then using
minicom I get terminal access into the switch where I can make any needed
changes or whatever.
