I still have my Kaypro 4, and still use the darn thing. Not only for
programming, using both the HiC and Mix C compilers, but WordStar
works like a champ and so does DBaseII. And it happily serves as a
serial terminal to the headless file server. There's nothing like
seeing a bash prompt on that tiny 9" screen... ;-p
I'm so worried about it dying someday that I have the service manual
and a few extra parts for it, just in case. It's been with me for
so many years, it'll be the one computer I'll cry over when it's
gone. May that day be many years from now.
