[SLUG] mkbootdisk failure

Why is this happening? I've already tried to replace it with a new floppy
drive:

[root@baglady root]# mkbootdisk --device /dev/fd0 2.4.20-18.8
Insert a disk in /dev/fd0. Any information on the disk will be lost.
Press <Enter> to continue or ^C to abort:
mkdosfs: unable to allocate space for FAT image in memory
Failed to format /dev/fd0
[root@baglady root]#

/mario
