Really appreciate it. Yes, that is what I wanted to do - use Kmail.
Took a look at the links you provided and got it working last night.

Just a little worried though, when I downloaded my mail tonight I didn't
have one single spam message, including anything from the SLUG list.
I guess we will see in the next few days.
