[SLUG] DNS Woes

Hello All:
   I've been having some problems with DNS recently (long story: gist of it is
that the company that was hosting my DNS is currently offline).

   I've configured my name server (ns1.digitalhermit.com) and have created the
zone files (both internal and external views). ns1.digitalhermit.com is my
primary at 207.87.240.225. I can query domains fine from outside domains
by specifying my nameserver:

[klowe@skipper] dig +norec +noques +nostats +nocmd digitalhermit.com.
@207.87.240.225
;; Got answer:
;; ->>HEADER<<- opcode: QUERY, status: NOERROR, id: 42582
;; flags: qr aa; QUERY: 1, ANSWER: 1, AUTHORITY: 1, ADDITIONAL: 1

;; ANSWER SECTION:
digitalhermit.com. 86400 IN A 207.87.240.225

;; AUTHORITY SECTION:
digitalhermit.com. 86400 IN NS ns1.digitalhermit.com.

;; ADDITIONAL SECTION:
ns1.digitalhermit.com. 86400 IN A 207.87.240.225

However, regular queries fail:

[klowe@skipper] dig digitalhermit.com
; <<>> DiG 9.2.1 <<>> digitalhermit.com
;; global options: printcmd
;; connection timed out; no servers could be reached

Querying ns1.digitalhermit.com also fails:

[klowe@skipper] dig +norec +noques +nostats +nocmd digitalhermit.com.
@ns1.digitalhermit.com.
dig: Couldn't find server 'ns1.digitalhermit.com.': Name or service not known

NS1.digitalhermit.com has been registered as a nameserver for months, so I
don't think it's some propagation error.

Digitalhermit.org, similarly configured, seems to work fine.

Anyone have any ideas on where else to look?
Thanks,
Kwan
