Folks,
So far a lot of good points and info. I see that there
appears to be a good following on the WalMart boxes.

As to your questions and concerns Matt, I have some
additional help in the form of a fellow who already
runs Mac OS-X, he is interested in anything that can
even remotelly look and act like OS-X and wants to
learn LINUX, he is quite willing to help. There are
two others who are also interested in learning and
helping maintain the system.

Talking to the church secretary she seems to understand
that we are looking at Windows alternatives and appears
to be quite interested in seeing what alternatives are
out there. She said that just so long as she can continue
to do her word processing even if she has to learn some
new processor as long as it is not too obscure she is game.

I think we can pull it off, and also keep things pretty
calm. I am also worried because I am continually finding
software that has not been licenced on the machines, I
have told them about the issues with pirated software so
there is additional interest to have machines that are not
so open to people loading any software on them.

Keep the info rolling folks, I will go at each of you as
I need to answer questons.
