Maybe it's just me but is sounds like now this thread has gone beyond
any semblance of usefulness. I mean, one thing that there was a
breakdown in communication. But now it got it's own life, with the
seeming purpose to keep this never ending back and forth thing.

He misposted, communication was sent that clarified how it should be,
and after that it should be over one way or the other.

It's sad if he want to leave, especially over this, but for crying out
loud, just let him stay or leave. You too David, get over it, please.
