[SLUG] Mandrake 10 install issues. Need help

I was eager to install Mandrake version 10 on my laptop when I ran into
issues. I can’t find the boot image file for a floppy which I have used in
the past so I had to resort to using the bootable CD. The CD boots and I
start the install process, however, I am getting “CD Rom drive not found”.
The installs stops and I don’t know what to do next. How can it not find
the CD Rom drive when it booted from the CD and is starting the install
process? Anyone run into a similar issue? How can I make a bootable disk
when the boot.img is not available anymore? FYI. I tried selecting Floppy
but is says “ Floppy is not a linux ext2 floppy.
