Ken, we will be using Maptitude as the mapper on the monitor consoles.
We are looking at possible open source solutions to the mapping part
also but right now Caliper software's Maptitude will do what we need
to get this thing up and running.

This is a AVL app, the data is captured to a database, and the mapping
consoles are linked to the database, that way we do not have data being
stored at each monitor console, and a console can be whatever geo area
that the operator needs to look at.
