My experiences has been with Suse 7-9 and not much with Red Hat. Fact is I
have never gotten it to work out of the box 9x or NT, 2K, XP-home or Pro. I
have always resorted to the registry hack. I'll have to give it another
round. At the next install fest I'll plan to bring two boxes with unaltered
installs and ask to be shown how to setup the Samba server as a domain
controller for the M$ box.

ISTR it took a registry hack to get 98 (or was it 95?) to worl, but
NT-based OSes worked by default. It's been a while, so bit rot may have
set in.

for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country. -- Hermann Goering
