Or, if you're more comfortable with a GUI editor (heresy to the
old-liners) you can open a console window, su/password, then open your
favorite ediotr by typing its name. Gedit, KWrite, Bluefish, NEdit --
they all edit files just fine, and you don't need to rememember obscure
text commands to use them. :)
