But isn't that going backwards? I want to take those messages *out* of
kern.log and syslog. They're getting put there somehow, and I want to
redirect them to some other place (like /dev/null).
But this gives an idea, but I don't know if it makes sense. I would put the
messages from kern.log, take them out, then rewrite kern.log. Or something
like that. Never mind. I just need to keep the messages from getting to
kern.log in the first place.
