There are those that might dispute that -- particularly those that believe that writing an operating system using a monolithic kernel is the devil's work. Of course, to my knowledge, none of these people has produced a useful operating system with a microkernel, so I'm inclined to agree with your estimation of Linux as a programmer, or at least as an engineer that programs.

On the other hand, the full comparison (if you're going to involve Linus in this) would be something more like this:
"Hmm, so it's saying that BSD users favor flash (the eminent OS developers at Berkely Software Distribution and a chick in red vinyl) over substance (Linux & a beanied rabbi)?

That then makes me question how a beanied rabbi you've never met automatically has more substance than a chick in red vinyl you've never met. We really know nothing about the skills and personality of the chick in red vinyl, though she seems more pleasing to the eye than a beanied rabbi for extended perusal, despite the rabbi's humor value.
