Don't forget that Symantec also apparently recently announced their migration
from Microsoft to Linux.

Subject: [SLUG] yesterday's NPR news spot

Yesterday NPR had on it's 3 minute news blurb of top stories (after Iraq)
mention of Hewlett Packard's decision to move big time into Open Source
software as a revenue generating strategy. HP noted IBM's recent
unexpectedly high revenue resulting Open Source support/services and wants in
on the take. Then, the whiny-voiced NPR announcer mentioned how MySQL and
JBoss factor into this emerging Open Source landscape.

I was so excited, I wanted to lord this news highlight over anyone nearby, as
proof I wasn't going mad about the importance of Open Source, but my
excitement probably wouldn't have changed anyone's opinion as to my
connection with reality. My dog, the only other witness around, does not
understand much English, unfortunately.
